American Cemetery

On Saturday (March 22) we drove to the American Cemetery in Metro-Manila. These are graves of approximately 17,000 American soldiers killed during WWII in the Philippines, and on the walls are the lists of 36,000 names whose remains have not been found. Row upon row upon row -- young men, dead. Sobering.

Sister Roundy lookin' good.

I loved seeing these pictures. My Dad was a Marine in WWII and served in the south pacific. I heard about story of Corregidor all my life.
The numbers of dead Americans sure blew my mind. Made me think how lucky those were who came home. You both look great. Love, Linda
